An outside study commissioned by the University of Miami after the arrest of one of the school’s coaches on charges of steroid possession revealed no evidence of wide-scale abuse of the drug by Hurricane football players, although the investigation by a law firm indicated that the team wasn’t completely steroid free.
“While there may have been and still may be some illegal usage by university athletes . . . it appears now that such usage would be minimal,” the study concluded.
