Nine-Ball Tournament Gets Under Way Today

The $50,000 Peter Vitalie Invitational California nine-ball pool tournament will be held today through Sunday at the Biltmore Hotel with daily sessions at 12:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Top men and women players will compete against each other in the black-tie competition. The 64-player field includes Mike Sigel, the men’s No. 1 player in the world; Jean Balukas, the women’s No. 1 player; and Japan’s best male and female players.
