An Anaheim man was in guarded condition Friday at UCI Medical Center with injuries he suffered in a three-car collision which occurred as he was reportedly being pursued from another accident by a private citizen.

Harry Samuel Murphy, 34, suffered head and shoulder injuries when he went through the intersection of Orangethorpe Avenue and Lemon Street at about 50 m.p.h. late Thursday night and collided with two other cars, Fullerton police said.

Police Officer Kevin Scanlon said Murphy had been involved in a minor hit-and-run accident in Anaheim a few minutes earlier and was being pursued by a witness to that crash when he sped through the intersection.
