An article (June 7) about the contractor amnesty program contained incorrect information. The Society of Hispanic Contractors erroneously indicated that unlicensed contractors could qualify for contractors’ license without taking an exam. This is incorrect. All applicants who apply for a license must take an examination. The amnesty program does not waive the required examination.
