A lawsuit filed by former Cleveland Indians...
A lawsuit filed by former Cleveland Indians reliever Ernie Camacho against a former physician for the American League team will be dropped today, according to an attorney for the pitcher.
Attorney William J. Novak said the suit was filed last week in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court against Dr. William Bohl to protect the statute of limitations. Robert C. Maynard, general counsel for the PIE Mutual Insurance Co., which represents Bohl, said there will be no settlement.
The suit claims Bohl was negligent in his surgery and post-operative care after he operated on Camacho’s right elbow in 1985. At the time, Bohl was employed by the Indians.
