Bill Shoemaker, aboard Miss Sprinklet, led the entire way and held on to win the $111,100 Valkyr Handicap for California-breds by a neck at Hollywood Park.

Favored T.V. Residual, ridden by Laffit Pincay, finished second, two lengths in front of Young Flyer, ridden by Chris McCarron, in a field of 10 older fillies and mares, 3 years old and up.

Miss Sprinklet raced one mile over a fast track in 1:36 2/5 and earned $66,100. The 3-year-old daughter of Never Tabled is trained by Gary Jones.
