A jury in Oroville decided that a Marysville woman was legally sane when she strangled and dismembered her mother and then scattered the body parts in the Butte County foothills. A Butte County Superior Court jury of three men and nine women earlier had found Elizabeth Rix, 62, guilty of second-degree murder in the death of her mother, Ruth Fuller, 77, of Marysville, in October, 1979.
