Ridden by Jacinto Vasquez, Manila pulled away with a half-mile to go and beat Racing Star by 2 1/2 lengths, covering the 1 1/16 miles on a soft turf track in 1:58 4/5. The son of Lyphard paid $2.20 and $2.20, with no show betting.
