Overlooked Clifton’s

I was very interested in the chart published in The Times on July 8, based on information from Restaurants & Institutions magazine, that listed the 11 largest independent restaurants in Southern California. It was disappointing, however, to see that Clifton’s Brookdale Cafeteria and Clifton’s Century City Cafeteria were not included. For your information, the 737-seat Clifton’s Brookdale had sales of $5.4 million last year and served 1.5 million diners. The 454-seat Clifton’s Century City had sales of $4.1 million last year and served 1.1 million diners.
