Costa Mesa : Motorcycle Rider’s Foot Hurt in Crash
A motorcyclist suffered a severe injury to his right foot in a collision with a car Sunday morning and was taken by helicopter to UCI Medical Center, police said.
Officer Vernon Hupp said Allen J. Frame, 27, of Costa Mesa was riding his cycle south on Orange Avenue when he collided with a car driven by Curt Allen Lawson, 27, of Costa Mesa. Lawson was making a turn from a private driveway onto Orange Avenue near Del Mar Avenue, Hupp said.
Lawson was given a citation for failure to yield to oncoming traffic, Hupp said.
