Empire National Bank in Westwood was closed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency after being declared insolvent. Empire National, at 10951 W. Pico Blvd., had 700 accounts worth $7 million and about $68,000 was uninsured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., which is liquidating the bank’s assets. Depositors may withdraw their money between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., today through Friday.
