Four Colombian citizens were arrested Wednesday as drug ring suspects by Los Angeles police narcotics investigators, who said they also seized about 500 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $85 million. The officers said they also confiscated $103,000 in cash and $16,000 in cashiers’ checks.
Police said the arrests came after a month-long surveillance of the Fullerton home of Luz Restrepo, 35, where most of the drug was reported found.
Arrested at locations in South-Central Los Angeles and in Brea were Jose Urego, 26; Jose Ortiz, 22, and Jorge Bortero, 27.
