Venice : New Town Council President
Ed McQueeney has replaced Joan Cory as president of the Venice Town Council. McQueeney had been treasurer of the group for the past two years.
Cory resigned to serve as Venice deputy for Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter.
Other new officers include Cheri Leslie, chairwoman of the Planning and Development Committee, and Fran Solomon, vice president for membership. The Venice Town Council is one of two major community organizations in Venice.
