Tejon Ranch posted a $294,000 loss for the second quarter, compared to a loss of $936,000 a year ago. The Lebec, Calif., company, involved in cattle, farming and oil and minerals operations, said gross operating revenue was up to $4.1 million from $2.67 million a year ago. The company said its agricultural business is seasonal, and earnings can vary substantially from quarter to quarter.
