A man and woman were arrested in Milpitas after shots were fired at a driver they said followed their pickup truck too closely and did not dim his lights. Milpitas police said Brian Lynn Jackman, 24, and Noel Janene Stanford, 19, were booked at Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and other charges after the 1:55 a.m. incident in which Jackman allegedly fired four or five rounds from a .22-caliber rifle, shattering the windshield and puncturing the trunk of the car of Rustin William Bangham, 19. The victim told officers that Jackman and Stanford then drove away. They were arrested a short time later.
