A Green Bay Catholic diocesan official said that his office is having trouble selling tickets for an annual charity game played by the Green Bay Packers, who have had recent troubles both on and off the field.
The Bishop’s Charities football game Saturday at Lambeau Field is about 14,000 tickets short of a sellout, which would mean about $75,000 for the diocese. Last season, the Packers had a 4-12 record. During the off-season, two players went on trial for separate assault charges.
James Lofton was acquitted, but had already been traded to the Raiders. Mossy Cade was convicted and sentenced to prison.
