A 29-year-old plumber was killed Wednesday afternoon in a freak accident at a construction site near Mission Viejo, the Sheriff’s Department reported. The man, whose name was not released pending notification of family, died after being hit by a pile of plywood sheets that fell over, Lt. Larry Abbott said. He said the accident occurred about 3 p.m. at the construction site for the Vista del Lago Apartments, 21622 Marguerite Parkway.
