Pasadena : Director Won’t Run Again

Share

City Director Loretta Thompson-Glickman has announced that she will not run for a fourth term on the board in 1989.

Thompson-Glickman, who became the city’s first black mayor in 1982, said pressure to spend more time with her family and on her job as a regional manager with the municipal bond underwriting firm of Grigsby, Brandford & Co., made her decide not to seek reelection.

She said she may resign from the board before 1989 if pressures from her family and job make continuing her political career impossible.
