The Philadelphia Eagles chose All-American receiver Cris Carter in the fourth round of the supplemental draft today, the NFL club said.

Carter, who caught 168 passes for 2,725 yards in his three years at Ohio State, was the school’s all-time leading receiver. Carter was made available for the special draft when he lost his last year of college eligibility for accepting money from sport agents Norby Walters and Lloyd Bloom.
