NFL Exhibition Roundup : Seahawk Special Teams Finish Off 49ers in 34-10 Win

Seattle’s special teams were in midseason form, and Dave Krieg passed for three touchdowns as the Seahawks (2-2) wrapped up their exhibition season with a 34-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers (3-2) Friday night at Seattle.

Bobby Joe Edmonds, a second-year player, and rookie Tony Burse, a 12th-round draft choice from Middle Tennessee State, were the special-team stars. Edmonds ran back the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown, and Burse recovered a pair of fumbles.

Miami 34, Buffalo 20--Dolphin linebacker Hugh Green reinjured his right knee in this game at Miami, and team physician Dr. Craig Virgin said he will examine the injury before deciding when Green can return.

Otherwise, it was a good night for the Dolphins (2-2), who rushed for 168 yards in 33 carries against the Bills (1-3).

Quarterback Dan Marino, in his first action since dislocating the ring finger on his passing hand in the Miami’s exhibition opener, completed 3 of 5 passes for 25 yards while leading the Dolphins to 10 first-quarter points.

New Orleans 26, Cincinnati 14--Dave Wilson threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Mike Jones, Dalton Hilliard ran 25 yards for a score, and Morten Andersen kicked four field goals as the Saints (3-1) beat the Bengals (2-2) at Cincinnati.

New England 14, Atlanta 13--Steve Grogan teamed with Stanley Morgan on a 62-yard touchdown pass play late in the second quarter as the Patriots (2-2) turned back the Falcons (1-3) at Jacksonville, Fla.

San Diego 30, New York Jets 6--Dan Fouts completed 16 of 21 passes for 241 and two touchdown passes, including one to offensive lineman Sam Claphan, as the Chargers (2-2) beat the Jets (2-2) at San Diego.
