According to a study conducted last year by CIC Research in San Diego, businesses in San Diego County would be better off if Super Bowl XXII does not involve the Chargers, the Los Angeles Rams or the Los Angeles Raiders.

The study determined the economic projections of four possible scenarios:

--Top dollar of $141.2 million is projected to be taken in by San Diego County if the Chargers, Rams and Raiders are not in the game.

--An income of about $140 million is projected if the Rams or Raiders face a team from outside Southern California.
