Katharine Hepburn will star in a TV movie for NBC, “Guest Appearance.” She’ll play a famous writer whose outlandish life style prompts her publisher to wager that she couldn’t survive in the household of a normal American family. She takes him up on it--to comical ends.

Jamie Farr and Mike Farrell, longtime acting mates on “MASH,” are reuniting for a CBS movie, “Run ‘Til You Drop.” There’ll be one difference, however: Only Farr will be seen in the film, playing a small-time private detective. Farrell will be the director.

Robert Conrad, who has starred in numerous series of his own, puts in a guest appearance on the Sept. 29 episode of NBC’s “J. J. Starbuck.” He plays a businessman suspected of a murder being investigated by series star Dale Robertson.

Comedian Ray Combs has been tapped by Mark Goodson Productions to host a revival of the game show “Family Feud.” A pilot is being shot with hopes of syndicating the series to stations for the fall of 1988. The show went off the air in 1985 following a successful nine-year run.

She’ll play a Communist Party leader who gets involved with Richard Channing (David Selby). Other well-known performers who’ll be seen on the CBS soap opera include Buck Henry, Lauren Hutton, Eve Arden, Leslie Caron, Eddie Albert and Theodore Bikel.
