Hearing Planned on Marina del Rey Dock Maintenance
The county Small Craft Harbor Commission voted on Wednesday to hold a public hearing Oct. 14 on complaints that anchorage operators are not properly maintaining dock facilities at Marina del Rey.
Commissioners reported that they found several instances of inadequate maintenance during personal inspections of the boat docks in August. County Supervisors Deane Dana and Mike Antonovich also have inspected the docks and are concerned about proper maintenance, according to Ted Reed, director of the county Department of Beaches and Harbors.
The public hearing is scheduled at 11 a.m. after a commission meeting in the county administration building, 13837 Fiji Way.
