Two Long Beach men were killed and another man was hospitalized after their speeding car swerved on Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest and slammed into a guard rail, authorities said. The force of the collision drove a section of guard rail into the front seat and it rammed passenger Jorge Lopez, 18, out the rear window, killing him, California Highway Patrol officer Shirley Gaines said. Roberto Flores, 43, who was sitting in the back seat of the 1972 Oldsmobile, was also killed by the guard rail, she said. The car’s driver, Magdaleno Puga, 30, Long Beach, was hospitalized in fair condition with multiple injuries. Puga will be booked on suspicion of felony drunken driving and vehicle manslaughter, Gaines said.
