A plethora of the industry’s major lights will gather to honor AIDS researcher Mathilde Krim on Nov. 1 at AIDS Project Los Angeles’ third annual Commitment to Life fund-raiser at the Wiltern Theatre. The roster of performing artists--Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg and Patti LaBelle are on the bill--is just as high-wattage as the names set down to be ushers and presenters: Richard Dreyfuss, Diane Keaton, Martin Short, Larry Hagman, Linda Ronstadt, Ted Danson, Diahann Carroll and more. Bette Midler was originally set to perform as well but has withdrawn, pleading overwork and exhaustion. Tickets for the show (available through Ticketmaster) are $1,000, $500, $250 and $100.
