Lakeside
A methamphetamine laboratory bust led to the arrest of 42-year-old David Wayne Paul of Lakeside and a 17-year-old girl at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The San Diego County Narcotics Task Force--consisting of federal, state and local agents--concluded the monthlong investigation by obtaining a search warrant for the Lakeside mobile home.
In a wooden shack on the property, officials said stairs led underground to a concrete and brick room in which they found 10 pounds of powder methamphetamine worth $150,000 and 40 pounds of liquid methamphetamine.
Paul was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for sale. He was booked into County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000.
The female suspect, whom police would not identify because she is a juvenile, also was held on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
