Garden Grove : Gunman Kills Man After Fight in Park
A 19-year-old Garden Grove man was shot and killed late Saturday following a fight in a city park, police said.
Hien Huu Tran Nguyen, was shot once in the back during a fight with the gunman outside a building at Ponderosa Park Recreation Center at 11:44 p.m., said Sgt. Ron Girk. Nguyen was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, Girk said.
The gunman may have escaped from the park at 2100 South Haster St. in a black Datsun 280 Z, Girk said.
