Over All, the odds-on favorite ridden by Angel Cordero Jr., led from the start to register an easy 5 3/4-length victory in the $136,900 Matron Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at New York. The victory was the sixth in eight starts for the Kentucky-bred daughter of Mr Prospector, including five for added money.

Justsayno, ridden by Robbie Davis, was second, a nose ahead of Flashy Runner, ridden by Jacinto Vasquez. Defined, Prospective Bidder, and Bodacious Tatas completed the order of finish.

Over All went seven furlongs on a muddy track in 1:24 4-5 to earn $82,140 for Eugene V. Klein and returned $2.60, $2.40 and $2.10. Justayno was worth $4.80 and $2.10 and Flashy Runner returned $2.10.
