3.1 Aftershock Hits
A small temblor measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale, an aftershock of the Oct. 1 Los Angeles earthquake, was felt over a wide area of the Southland late Thursday night, the Caltech Seismology Laboratory reported. There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The aftershock was centered in the Rosemead-Whittier Narrows area, the same location as the Oct. 1 temblor, Finn said.
