Kings Game to Be Televised Tonight on Century Cable
Century Cable, which had dropped Prime Ticket Oct. 1, began carrying the cable television sports service again Wednesday night.
Subscribers, who live mainly in the Southland’s western communities, will be able to watch Prime Ticket’s coverage of tonight’s hockey game between the Kings and the Boston Bruins at the Forum.
Century had dropped Prime Ticket because of a scheduled rate increase.
Century and Prime Ticket worked out their differences Tuesday night during an informal meeting of the companies’ top executives, who happened to be at a Southern California Cable Assn. dinner in Anaheim.
At the meeting were Bill Daniels, who, along with Jerry Buss, owns Prime Ticket; Tony Acone, Prime Ticket president, and Leonard Tow, the president of Century.
