Cal State Fullerton Plays UNLV Today in Titans’ Second Home Game of Season
Cal State Fullerton’s football team, which this season has played games in five time zones, will play its second home game of the season today, against Nevada Las Vegas at Santa Ana Stadium.
The Titans, 2-1 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. and 2-4 overall, have lost nine straight games to the Rebels (1-0, 2-2) and in the school’s 16-year football history have beaten them only once, in 1972.
The 1 p.m. game marks the beginning of a six-game stretch during which Fullerton will play at home four times. The Titans played only three home games last season.
Scott Sims, the Rebel quarterback, has led UNLV to two straight victories after replacing injured starter Richard Williams in the third game of the season.
