Local News in Brief : Lancaster Resident Dies After Car Overturns
A motorist died after his car overturned early Saturday on an Antelope Valley Freeway off-ramp near Newhall, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The name of the 38-year-old Lancaster resident was not disclosed pending notification of relatives.
The accident occurred about 3:30 a.m. as the man traveled north in a 1987 station wagon, CHP Officer Rod Beadles said.
The driver took the exit at Sierra Highway, struck a curb and flipped, partly ejecting the driver, Beadles said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
