The Metrodome--Twins have now won all four of their home postseason games. They have homered four times in the Series.

Frank Viola--If Twins can win Game 3, Viola would have a chance to end the Series in Game 4.

Vince Coleman--Key to Cardinals’ running game didn’t reach base until Twins were well ahead. He stole a base and scored.

Willie McGee--Singled home a run and has hit in both Series games.

Gary Gaetti and Greg Gagne--Neither was called upon for defensive heroics, but Gaetti collected the game-winning RBI.

Tom Lawless--The replacement for Cardinals third baseman Terry Pendleton did not play in Game 2. Jose Oquendo played third and singled to build a run, but was thrown out to abort a rally.

Tim Laudner--Twins catcher, who loomed as a defensive factor before the Series, has driven in four runs.

Dan Driessen--Cardinals’ left-handed veteran doubled home one run and scored another, but by that time, the game was out of reach.

Juan Berenguer--Twins’ veteran reliever dominated in AL playoffs but looked rusty in Game 2, allowing three hits and two runs in one inning.

Ozzie Smith and Tom Herr--Cardinals’ DP combination loses value because the Twins are hitting the ball where only fans can catch it.
