Council OKs 5% Water Bill Hike

The City Council today approved a water rate increase that will boost the average water bill by 5%. The rate increase, subject to the approval of Mayor Tom Bradley, would increase the average homeowner’s monthly bill from $17.33 to $18.20. The price boost would generate $13 million a year to pay for a variety of water system improvements.
