Local News in Brief : 3.2 Aftershock Recorded
An aftershock measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale and centered near the quake-ravaged city of Whittier rattled homes and nerves Monday night, but no injuries or serious damage were reported, authorities said.
The 10:32 p.m. aftershock, the 30th of magnitude 3.0 or greater since the 6.1 quake on Oct. 1, triggered calls to police and fire departments throughout the Los Angeles area.
