The prosecution lists 106 witnesses to testify against four members of a white supremacist group charged with civil rights violations in the 1984 slaying of Denver radio talk show host Alan Berg. David Lane, 48, Richard Scutari, 40, Bruce Pierce, 32, and Jean Craig, 54, all members of The Order, also known as the Silent Brotherhood, are to go on trial today. They were indicted April 24 on charges of interfering with a federally protected right resulting in a death. All are serving federal sentences for racketeering convictions in a 1985 Seattle trial. The maximum penalty in the federal case is life in prison, with eligibility for parole after 10 years. Berg, who was Jewish, often used his KOA radio program to taunt white supremacists.
