A disaster aid application center will open for three days, beginning Monday, for West Los Angeles residents who suffered uninsured losses as a result of the Oct. 1 earthquake and its aftershocks, officials said.

The office will be located in the Stoner Recreation Center at 1835 Stoner Ave. and will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., officials said.

The Stoner center will be the 10th to be opened in Southern California since Oct. 11. So far, nearly 20,000 people have visited the various centers, applying for housing assistance, low-interest Small Business Administration loans and individual and family grants.
