Rotary Adds to Relief Fund
The Whittier Rotary Club has given $5,000 to the Whittier Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund in the service organization’s first donation of that type to a non-Third World area. Rotary International also asked all its chapters to contribute to the Whittier fund. The fund topped $290,000 this week with a $20,000 donation from the J.C. Penney Co.
