Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Woman, Teen-Age Son Beaten During Break-In

A woman and her 14-year-old son were beaten and bound by three men who broke into their apartment Friday and stole cash and jewelry, police said.
Huntington Beach Police Lt. Chuck Poe said the men entered the unlocked apartment of Hot Tran, 35, about 12:15 p.m. The intruders hit the woman and teen-ager and then tied them up. After taking an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry, they ran away.
