A muscle pull is jeopardizing linebacker Lawrence Taylor’s string of having played in 105 consecutive National Football League games, dating back to 1981.
Coach Bill Parcells of the New York Giants said that Taylor could be sidelined for at least two weeks. Taylor had nothing to say about the injury. Meanwhile, Giant quarterback Phil Simms, who missed the last two games because of a sprained left knee, may return next Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Simms probably won’t start, Parcells said, but he should get a chance to play.
