David Wingate of the Philadelphia 76ers needed 20 stitches to close a cut on his face after falling into a glass door, the team said.
Team internist Dr. Fred Bove said Wingate, a 6-6 guard, should not have to miss any games because of the injury.
Wingate slipped while leaving his apartment and fell into the glass door, the team said.
Wingate is averaging 10.5 points in four 76ers games this season.
