Great Alaska Shootout to Start Friday

The college basketball season gets into full swing this weekend, with the Great Alaska Shootout, which begins Friday night, highlighting the action.
In first-round games, Alabama Birmingham will play Southwest Texas, Syracuse will face host Alaska Anchorage, Michigan will play Miami and Arizona will take on Duquesne.
The semifinals will be held Saturday, the consolation game Sunday and the championship game Monday night.
ESPN will televise two first-round games plus all of the other games.
