4 Programs Added to List of Holiday Productions

Four Orange County groups have announced holiday productions, including another “Nutcracker” and an old English wassail dinner and concert.

The Forum Dance Ensemble will perform “The Nutcracker” ballet Friday through Sunday and Dec. 11-13 at the Forum Theater, 4175 Fairmont Blvd., Yorba Linda. Times are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Allyson Deane and Don Schwennesen of the Oakland Ballet will be guest artists in the production, which will feature 40 young dancers from 10 local ballet schools.

Chapman College will hold its annual Wassail Dinner and concert at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in Bertea Hall on the campus, 333 N. Glassell St., Orange.

Works by Vivaldi and Vaughan Williams will be included on the program, which will also give the audience opportunities to sing along in traditional carols.

Tickets are $25 per person. (There are also several levels of donation prices.)

The Cal State Fullerton University Choir and the University Women’s Chorus will combine for a holiday program at 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the Little Theater on the Fullerton campus.

The concert will include Magnificats by Nicola Antonio Porpora and Francesco Durante, as well as traditional holiday music.

The Bryan-Allison Flute and Guitar Duo will play and sing holiday music at 4 p.m. on Sunday in the Newport Center Branch Library, 856 San Clemente Drive, Newport Beach.

The program is free.
