Cal State Fullerton, which has two starters back from a 17-13 team, will open its basketball season tonight at 7 against Montana in Missoula, Mont.
Richard Morton and Henry Turner, the top two scorers from the Titan team that finished 17-13 and lost in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament last year, both return.
Morton, a 6-foot 4-inch guard, averaged 18 points last season. Turner, a 6-7 forward, averaged 15 points. Eugene Jackson, a part-time starter at point guard, also is back. Two players who have yet to play a game for the Titans may start inside--forward Bobby Adair and center John Sykes, both transfers.
Montana (2-0), a Big Sky Conference team, is led by Wayne Tinkle, a 6-9 junior forward and the only returning full-time starter from an 18-11 team.
Fullerton is 0-3 against Montana.
