Norwalk : Council Pay Increase Voted
Next spring, Norwalk City Council members will receive a 2.4% pay increase that will boost their monthly salary to $690. The council approved the pay raise by a 3-2 vote Tuesday night, with council members Margaret (Peg) Nelson and Grace Napolitano voting against it. City spokesman Gary Brackle said council members last gave themselves a raise in 1984. The increase takes effect after next April’s election, when Nelson and Bob White will be up for reelection.
