A motorcyclist from Burbank was killed when he tried to ride between a catering truck and an RTD bus on Magnolia Avenue in North Hollywood, Los Angeles police said.

Caesar Williams, 24, had passed on the right of the catering truck Wednesday when he found his path blocked by the bus, which had stopped at the curb, Sgt. Art Haversat said. Williams swerved to avoid the bus and tried to squeeze between the two vehicles but fell off his motorcycle, Haversat said. Williams, who was not wearing a helmet, was run over by the truck’s rear wheels, Haversat said.

The accident occurred about 7 a.m. at Magnolia Avenue and Riverton Avenue. The catering truck did not stop after the accident, and police were searching for the truck’s driver, Haversat said.
