William Hall will conduct the remaining concerts of the Master Chorale of Orange County’s 1987-88 season at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.

Hall had previously been chosen to lead the chorale in its Christmas concert on Dec. 20, replacing music director Maurice Allard, who resigned on Oct. 23.

The Christmas program will include Poulenc’s “Gloria in G,” Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols” and a medley of traditional music.

Hall will choose new programs for the final concerts of the season, scheduled for April 24 and June 4 and 5. These programs will be announced at a later date.

The March 20 concert will be Beethoven’s “Missa Solemnis” as originally announced.

Hall is director of the Los Angeles-based William Hall Chorale and a professor of music at Chapman College in Orange.

In addition, Catherine Leestma has been appointed director of public relations for the Master Chorale. Her duties will include fund-raising, marketing and public relations.
