Monrovia : Portable Classroom OKd
Despite objections that the city does not have enough parkland, the City Council has voted to allow the placement of a portable classroom in Rotary Park, at Lime and California avenues, to be used for after-school child care for students at Wildrose School.
Options, a nonprofit child care organization, operates programs at Plymouth and Bradoaks schools but could not find space to serve the Wildrose children.
Cliff Marcussen, director of Options, won council approval after assuring members that the program would serve only Monrovia children.
