Master’s Comeback Falls Short, 84-82

Despite an impressive second-half comeback, The Master’s was beaten by Fresno Pacific, 84-82, in an NAIA District III men’s basketball game Saturday at Master’s.

Brian Falls, a 6-6 junior center, scored 21 of his game-high 31 points in the first half as Fresno Pacific took a 43-35 halftime lead.

Master’s Phil Hahn, a 6-5 junior forward, scored 16 of his team-high 26 points in the second half as the Mustangs (3-8, 2-2 in district play) rallied to tie the score, 82-82, with 57 seconds left. Curt Heidebrecht hit two free throws with 14 seconds left to secure the win for Fresno Pacific. (3-4, 3-0).
