On “Jake and the Fatman” each Tuesday night on CBS, William Conrad plays a tough district attorney who more often than not is a grouchy, bah-humbug type of fellow.
But Conrad abandoned his usual dour expression to don a Santa cap for a holiday photo, even trying to coax a happy look out of Max, the aging bulldog that’s his constant companion on the show.
Actually, Conrad has reason to smile: CBS has picked up “Jake and the Fatman” for the full season.
